My Story

My name is Martyna, I’m 23 and I live in North - East Scotland.

My creative journey began back in 2015 when I taught myself to knit a scarf using the loom that came with the loom band kits. I followed a YouTube tutorial and just kept going from there!

After that, I discovered needle felting—also thanks to YouTube. I started with a 2D felted Highland cow picture and instantly fell in love with how creative it could be.

Next, I gave resin a try, but it didn’t quite work out. I struggled to get the results I wanted, so I moved on to Jesmonite. It was much easier to use, and I really enjoyed it, though I found it had some limitations when it came to being truly unique. However, I still use it from time to time, it is great for making planters

Then, in March 2024, I bought my first laser engraver—and I love it. Out of everything I’ve tried, laser engraving is definitely my favourite. It’s become my main craft. However, I still dip into others now and then and have combined felting and laser cutting into 2 products currently on my website

While I was experimenting with different crafts, I also completed a literature degree. I wasn’t quite sure where I wanted to go with it, but my dream is to one day earn a consistent income through my handmade creations.

For now, I really enjoy making gifts for family and friends and building a portfolio of products that way. It's so much fun! I’ve had plenty of failed projects and moments when I felt like giving up (and sometimes I did!), but those breaks were never permanent. I always find myself coming back, full of new ideas—because I love creating too much to stop.
